For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Dear Julian
You rarely complained
Always quiet
But on this one day
You cried your heart out
You could not be consoled
I tried my best to calm you down but to no avail
It then occurred to me to pick you up and hold you close
I gave you my shoulder to lean on
You stopped crying to my amazement
We sat there consoling each other in our own ways
I listened to your heart beating
You were so full of life
Such a joy
We had such a lot of fun together
Didn't we Julian
We spent many afternoons listening to "Bob the Train"
You loved the nursery rhymes
It gave me so much joy to see you listening so intently
The music just lit up your life
And now
Life is somber
But you taught me to listen to the silence where I will hear you once more
Rest Angel Julian and shine brightly.
