In Loving Memory of Loraine Higgins Triece

Loraine “Sammie” Higgins Triece, 93, of Richardson, passed away on October 11th, 2020 in Richardson. She joins her husband Harry, and daughters Nancy and Elizabeth in heaven with the Angels and Saints.

An outdoor family only, private, funeral service and burial will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 14th, at Calvary Hill Cemetery with Fr. George Henninger officiating. Arrangements are made by Calvary Hill Funeral Home.

Loraine was born in Kaufman, Texas to Richard and Callie Higgins on October 22nd, 1926. She graduated from Forest Avenue High school in Dallas. She married Harry Lewis Triece Jr. on January 28, 1950 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dallas. She worked at Mutual of Omaha for several years where she met Harry. She married Harry and spent the rest of her career as a loving mother of 6 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was an active member at St. Rita and All Saints Catholic Church. In later life, she and Harry made weekly food deliveries for the poor, earning them the Pope Francis Award for charitable service.

Loraine is preceded in death by her husband Harry Lewis Triece Jr., and Daughters Nancy Lee Triece and Elizabeth Triece Baebel.

Loraine is survived by her Children Susan, John, Emily, and Joseph: Grandchildren Kristin, Katie, Kelly, Alexander, Wesley, Andrew, Bonnie, Haley, and Sean: Great Grandchildren Taylor, Madeline, Leah, Lydia, Sadie, Samuel, Daniel, Joanna, Penelope, Steven, Jonah, Zayla, Tripp, and Mackenzie: and Great-great Granddaughter Sophia.

A private graveside service for Loraine will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220.
