I remember meeting MamaJean for the first time many years ago when Cheryl and I were dating. I was really nervous because I knew how special she was to Cheryl and the family. We met at an old diner in Duncanville. My goal going in was not to win her over completely thinking that might not be possible, but to just try not to make a fool of myself. Luckily for me, MamaJean was immediately so sweet and accepting of me putting me at ease. Quickly I could tell why she was so loved and adored by Cheryl and everyone. She will be greatly missed. But I know she lives on in Cheryl and our kids.

MamaJean was a wonderful grandmother and I am so thankful she got to see her great grandbabies a few times. Growing up as her only granddaughter I was definitely spoiled or she would say "loved a lot" She was always so kind, gentle, and thankful, even when she couldn't remember who we were. Anytime I would see her she would have so many compliments and she just wanted us to know how much she loved and appreciated us. I have so many memories of her but what stands out to me is how she always put her best self out there. I can remember her beautiful vanity set full of perfumes and red lipsticks, and her bathroom full of hairspray and she always had the best skin, she loved her oils. She was our MamaJean and I will miss her terribly but I am thankful for all the wonderful memories I have of her, the time spent with her and knowing she is in a better place. She was one of a kind. Love you MamaJean, "When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicin' that will be"

She was a great mother, grandmother, wife and sister. She always came to our house for Christmas. Alzheimers has taken her but she will not be forgotten. We love you mom..
