Ernie was more than a wonderful neighbor and friend..he was definitely close like Family to me and my Mother....whom he lovingly called "Mama Mary & Jill up the hill". He showed his love of God in every good deed he did for us. He always carried his annointing oil with him and never left our house without having prayer. He brought the newspaper to our front door each and every day so my precious 90 year old Mother would not have to walk to get it. He made our house a winter wonder land each Christmas for many years. He picked up our mail and newspapers whenever we were out of town. He would come and get our frozen foods if our electricity went out and return it when it came back on. He was the first person to contact with our security monitoring company. I just don't know what we will do without our sweet precious Ernie. We already miss him more than we could ever imagine! This Earth's loss is truly Heaven's gain! What a true "Giant Of A Man". We will be here for you Julia...just like Ernie would want! Love & Prayers! Mary Sanders & Jill Lucas (Up the Hill)

Julia, Kathie and family... I know words are never going to replace Neto but know he touched so many lives and will always be remembered with a big smile and beautiful memories.... he gave me such words of encouragement when my brother passed away and i will never forget that. Heaven has a new angel and i am sure he has the others laughing and smiling right along with him. Love Maria Gutierrez and the entire Gutierrez clan.

I'm still in shock & disbelief that my sweet friend & neighbor is gone. A true prayer warrior & man of God. Ernie always encouraged me & so many others to walk the walk with our Lord & Savior. Such a good man, husband, father & grandfather. Ernie you are & will be missed. May God comfort sweet Julia & family during this time. I am here for you. Love to all.

Kathie, not sure what the right words are to say but only this, your daddy is and will always be one of the best individuals one will ever meet and just know that one of the best things he left was love and being a great man of GOD. In saying that, I'm positive because of that, we will see him again. Much love and respect for your family at this time but remember that he lived his life with so much love and happiness that we were all lucky and fortunate to be part of it, remember, this is not the end of the road for him, it's only the beginning.
