Rocco C. Gesualdi of Danbury, died January 7, 2015 at Danbury Hospital. He was 82 years old. Rocco was born August 24, 1932 in Panni Foggia, Italy the son of the late Carlo and Maria (Calitri) Gesualdi.
He was the owner and master barber of Rocco’s Haircutting in Danbury, he was a volunteer at the Dorothy Day Clinic in Danbury, he enjoyed working with his two daughters cutting and styling hair but mostly he enjoyed spending time with family. Rocco was a kind and caring man who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Rose of Danbury, CT, two sons Carl Gesualdi of Danbury, CT Christopher Gesualdi and his wife Rosario of NJ, two daughters Dana and her husband Frank Ventrella, and Caryn and Rob Swensen both of Danbury, CT, one sister Filomena Zelano of Beverly, MA, two brothers, Mario Gesualdi of Fort Erie, Canada, and Luigi Gesualdi of Beverly MA, also survived by thirteen grandchildren Carl, Courtney, Stephanie, Brandon, Monique, Desiree, Samantha and Rose Marie Gesualdi, Nicholas, Zachary and Jacob Ventrella, and Robby and Rocco Swensen, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his sister Raphaela Mastrangelo, and two brothers Generosa and Antonio Gesualdi.
Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St., Danbury, CT on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm and a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
