Sweet sweet Marlis, Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. So many years of seeing her smiling sweet face, and always a pleasant conversation. Marlis loved to talk, and would sit downstairs at the Edgemere Seniors Complex waiting for a ride always earlier than she needed to. That way she would get to talk to whoever came by. Marlis was one of the originals, was in the building when it was very new.. During the BBQ's she taught us how to make Mayochup before it became a condiment, lol. She will be missed by many people who came to know her over the years. Sincere Condolences to the Family and May she Rest in Peace.

Mrs Surette was the embodiment of human grace and resilience. Despite facing considerable adversity in her life she put a smile on her face and encouraged others to persevere by word and example. I will miss her. May light perpetual shine upon her.
