Rest in peace Al. You had my 1st AKC Champion Miniature Schnauzer Ch. Fairways Skywalker, "Luke" . You and Marlene gave Luke a full and wonderful life. All I ever wished for. Luke lived a full long life with AL. I will forever keep Al in my heart, as he love Luke as I loved Luke. Your Dad was so heartfelt, keeping in contact with me throughout Luke's life till the end. I thank Al for that. He was such a Gentleman. My only wish was that I would have known him for so many more years. He was totally an A+ man. Nothing but good thoughts for his soul.

To Steve ...Todd ... Mick ...and Julie ...

I wanted to express my deepest sorrow for the loss of your father. He was a great man that I will remember forever as he was my first real boss while I worked down at Simon and Landauer. I first met your family as your newspaper carrier for the DesMoines Register. When I turned 16 ... I applied for a job and your father hired me where I started out selling Levi jeans down in the Downstairs store. Over time I was "promoted" up to the main floor where I was able to comingle and work beside your father and Ben Shugar. This job started me on a life of retail that I still live to this day being a sales representative out in California selling wholesale. I will be forever in your father's debt for giving me my first official job. He was always a generous ...straightforward and honest man who was loved by many many employees. I was happy to have seen him a few times in the past few years when I was able to visit him when I came back to the Quad Cities. In closing ... please know that I hold him ... your mom Marlene and your whole family in my heart this week as you go through this painful stage of loss. Just know that I'm sure he is looking down on all of you ... proud as ever to have been your father ... and my boss! Love to you all!

I am very sorry for your loss. Your father was a truly wonderful person. Every time I ran into him, no matter where it may be, he always had a joke to share. God bless you all. Hugs and kisses coming your way.

I am formerly Mary Katz. Your parents were good friends of Gigi and Izzy Katz. When I was in high school we took a great trip to Lake of the Woods with your mom and dad. I will never forget the trip and your parents friendship with my parents. Sorry for your loss!
