Opal M. Daily, 89, of Davenport passed away on April 10, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm noon on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Weerts Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Opal was born on February 17, 1932 in Iowa City, Iowa to Charles and Leoda (Capron) Gabbert. She was united in marriage to Wayne Johnson in 1950 in Davenport, they later divorced. Opal was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and doing yardwork. She also enjoyed dining at the Family Restaurant with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Gail) Johnson Jr. and Rick Johnson; grandchildren, Rita (Doug) Meirer and Wayne G. Johnson III; Great-grandchildren, Xander, Newberry and Gabrielle; Great great-grandchildren, Britney, Travis, Cody, Kayla, Hailey and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one granddaughter, Brenda Lee Johnson.
