Rosemary “Pat” Olson, 78, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11am at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly. Friends can greet the family starting at 10am before the service. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in East Moline following the service. Memorials in Pat’s name may be made to Clarissa C Cook Hospice House or any local no kill animal shelter.
Pat was born in 1939 to William and Margaret Shepherd in Rock Island, Illinois. After graduating from High School, Pat went to work at the local bank, starting off as a teller and worked her way up to Vice President of 1st National Bank of Rock Island. She was a member at Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline. Pat was an avid reader and loved her cats. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and watching them grow over the years.
Those left to honor Pat’s memory is her brother Harley Shepherd; nieces and nephews: Laurie Conard, Linda (Walt) Hoshaw, Beth Adrian, Stephanie Gloe, Karen Coats, Greg Gloe, Robert Shepherd, and Steve Gaertnier; special friends: Jim Benson, Pat Pratt, and all of her fellow residents at the Shaw Retirement Condos; and special cat Annie. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Arlene Ruth Gaertnier and Beverly Jean Gloe.
