I knew Thee when I worked with her at JCPenney and at Our Lady of Victory in the 1970’s. She was a wonderful lady. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.

Ms. DeCook (Thee) was such a fun person. She and my mom (Lorraine Oberhaus) would get together and just laugh. Always good for a teasing, she also made you feel special. Her bawdy sense of humor was something I looked forward to.

For the last 6 years or so I had the great privilege of being able to mow Thee's lawn and remove the snow for her. She was a marvelous lady and it was such a pleasure to know her. When I would finish she was always ready and waiting to invite me in out of the cold or to cool down on a hot summer day. We would always visit for 10 or 15 minutes, telling me stories of her husband Vincent or her kids or grandkids. She was so positive about life and seemed to always make me laugh about something. I count it an extreme blessing to have been able to become acquainted with her.
I am praying to our heavenly Father for your peace and comfort during your time of loss.
