Patricia Colleen Novotney
August 20, 1938 – October 25, 2021
Patricia Colleen Novotney passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane WA on Monday morning, Oct. 25, 2021. Colleen was born at the Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA. on Aug. 20, 1938, to Harry Ross McMillan and Audrey Maxine (Kennedy) McMillan. Colleen was joined by a brother Ken in 1942 and sister Wanda in 1948. She was raised on a ranch 10 miles south of Wilbur. She went to Wilbur Schools, graduating in 1956. After attending WSC for one year, she married Dave Taylor in 1957. They had three children. Kelsey (Patti), Cindy, & Mike (Beth). Also, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In 1977 she married Melvin Novotney of Wilbur, WA. She also worked alongside Mel in their grocery store. In 2000 she taught preschool for 14 years. She is survived by one stepdaughter, Gayla Bard and three great grandchildren, Brother, Ken & Lois McMillan, and Sister, Wanda (Wendey) Esvelt. Colleen loved her music and playing for church, weddings and funerals. A memorial service will be held at the Wilbur Community Church in Wilbur at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 with Pastor Katherine Tuttle, Officiating.
