Debbie was a loving soul that held many special relationships with friends and family members who love and will miss her dearly. Coming from a military family herself, in the early 70’s, Debbie served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Key West, Florida. Military life laid the foundation that would carry Debbie through many successful ventures, including Toney Tool Manufacturing, Dot Palm Landscaping, Shady Palm Villa’s and serving as a trustee on the board of directors at Ginghamsburg Church. What really brought Debbie the greatest joy was Friday date night with Walt, accompanied by special friends Jim & Kaye McPherson, that included dinner and a movie and the time spent with family and friends whether it was vacations, holidays, or attending church. Debbie’s loving and generous heart knew no limits. Debbie was a mentor to many and she served the Lord by attending mission trips, including helping with Hurricane Katrina clean up and disaster relief in New Orleans, serving hot meals to the needy, opening her home to graciously host a weekly home church and provide many visiting worldwide missionaries with a place to stay. Debbie’s vision led her to form The Gathering Place at Oak Creek Worship Center, where her and Walt served a warm smile, donuts and a strong cup of coffee Sundays before service. The world will be less bright without her and she will be deeply missed. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday July 20, 2019, service beginning at 11:00 am with reception immediately following at the Oak Creek Worship Center, 4800 Bigger Rd, Kettering, Ohio It would be Debbie’s wish that in leu of flowers that donations be made in her name to Oak Creek Worship Center through SecureGive on their website www.oakcreekworshipcenter.org
