Herr Weatherhead stepped in as a much-needed substitute German teacher to teach the Beavercreek High School German program at the end of the year. With no preparation, he stepped in when we really needed him. Our foreign language department head Bonnie (Spanish) and I (French) helped guide him through the materials, but Herb used his own formidable language skills to get our German students through the last quarter of the school year.

We will always have fond memories of "Herr Weatherhead."

I send my deepest condolences to the Weatherhead family at the passing of my USAFA classmate, Herb. He was a special
gentleman, happily remembered by all who knew him. He was a Redtag brother to us. May he rest in
peace. And may the Lord bless you and keep you and give you a peace that surpasses all understanding. May your grief
be tendered with fond memories of special times you all shared.

My deepest condolence to all of Herbs family. Years ago I shared many hours skiing with Herb and Ruth while with the National Ski Patrol. Great memories I will cherish forever.
