WEISSGARBER, John F. passed away August 20, 2014 after a 6 month battle with illnesses. John was born March 26, 1925 in Mansfield, OH to the late Catherine and Martin Weissgarber. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in France, Germany, and the Battle of the Buldge. John earned a BSIE from Ohio University in 1950 where he was president of Phi Kappa fraternity his senior year. He met his future wife, Pat Cook, while at Ohio University. They have been married 63 years. John was a self-employed manufacturer’s rep, designing and selling customized conveyor systems. He had been Scout Troop 22 Committee Chairman, President of Bellbrook Band Boosters, a USAF Museum volunteer, Finance Coordinator for Queen of Apostles Community, Treasurer for the Bellbrook Historical Society, and a QA Seniors Coordinator. John and Pat enjoyed traveling in their motor home, camping, boating, playing cards, friends and neighbors, QAC, and golfing with buddies. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat; sons John S. Weissgarber of Bellbrook, OH and David M. (Kathy Crawford) Weissgarber of Loveland, OH; a brother, Tony (Ruth) of San Antonio, TX and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am, Saturday August 30, 2014 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4435 East Patterson Rd. Beavercreek, OH.
