Bryn Gary

On Saturday, April 24, 2021, Bryn Edwin Gary passed away at the age of 86. He was born July 10, 1934, in Enterprise, Johnston County, Oklahoma. He graduated from Coleman High School and called Coleman his hometown. He was in the army, and spoke of enjoying the friends he made while working at the Arlington Texas General Motors plant. He attended several colleges, got his teaching certificate and taught high school in Broken Bow and Dickson, Oklahoma. He attained his Masters Degree at East Texas State and then his Doctorate in Math. He taught math at Oscar Rose College in Midwest City. There, in the 70’s, he began to invest in real estate. He eventually left his teaching career to devote full time to real estate, where his passion really was, and he became a successful businessman. Bryn was exceptionally smart and bright. Decades after he left the math teaching field, he could easily remember calculus equations to help kids in their education. He was a loving and generous man, with a big heart, easily touched by others less fortunate. He would give to people, even if they didn’t ask; if he saw they were in need. He confessed his belief in Jesus Christ as his Savior, in his later years. He loved his family, and enjoyed being around people, visiting and talking. He had a great sense of humor. He was loved by many and will be missed by them all.

Bryn was preceded in death by his brother Glen Gary, father, Henry ‘Doc’ Gary, brother, Clifton Gary, mother, Mona Cannon Gary, and sister, Marie Gary Spears. He is survived by his sister, Alverta Gary Spears, of Coleman, Oklahoma and lifelong friend, Martha McGill-Kirk, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, Oklahoma. Also, a graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Enterprise Cemetery, Enterprise, Oklahoma.
