Donald Clair Moore III

TSgt Donald Clair Moore III passed away on August 2, 2019 peacefully in his home at the age of 57. He made many accomplishments in his short life. He served in the United States Air Force from June 1, 1979 to June 30, 1999 spending most of his military career as a Computer Maintenance Display Tech (CDMT) flying on AWACS planes. He was a decorated veteran of the Gulf War in which he logged many hours flying AWACS missions. During this time, he had also worked to obtain his Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management and later went on to obtain a degree in Financial Planning. After dedicating 20 years of active duty service to his country, he retired from the military. He was well known for being an animal advocate, automobile and motorcycle enthusiast, a music lover, and a master craftsman. He was also known for putting others above himself, especially in their time of need. He is survived by his father, Donald Clair Moore Jr, and his wife, Janet; his mother, Patricia O'Donnell; his wife, Marlene Moore; his daughter, Audra Moore, and his son, Donald Claire Moore IV, from his first marriage with Carol Roy; his sons, Christopher Moore and Joshua Moore, from his marriage with Marlene; his brother, Bryan Moore, and his wife, Mary; and his sister, Laura Moore, and her wife, Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help cover funeral expenses and Donald's celebration of life reception.

I grew up with Marlene and later ran into her and Don in The Netherlands. We became close friends and continued to keep in touch after he retired from the US Airforce. Never expected this to happen and we are deeply grieved. We love you all so much.

This is Scooters kindergarten picture he really was as sweet as he looks in this picture. Thru the years he proved many times that he was a great son and even better father and he was well thought of during his military career. He will be truly missed by all...I love you son.
