Paul Leon Nuzum was born in Geary, Oklahoma to Isidor and Lela (Coffman) Nuzum on February 3, 1941. He graduated from Geary High School. He then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southwestern State College in 1964. Paul worked for Sears for 38 years. He was proud to have served with the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He married the love of his life, Betty Sue Blackwell in 1991. He enjoyed fishing farm ponds in his tube and waders fishing for bass. It was the ultimate for him at the time. Then fly fishing came into his life. He spent many years (40+) fishing for trout at Roaring River State Park in Missouri. Paul tied all of his own trout flies and gave many of them away to friends. He was a master at tying flies. With his passing, it certainly gives the fish a rest!! Waiting for him in Heaven are his parents, Isidor and Lela, his precious wife Betty Sue, and a very special Shih Tzu, Sugar Boy. He was a faithful member of the Del City Church of Christ. His request was that there be no services. His cremation will be under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home in Del City. His ashes will be taken to Missouri where they will be placed with his wife’s.
