Dearest Auntie Babe,
My sisters, Helen, Nette, Vic, I, feel a deep loss in our hearts. You have been our second Mom.
My first memory of you, was when Uncle Babe, you, and family, joined our family, here in Delano. Our families, were inseparable then. Mom. you, and Auntie Genia use to drag us kids to CORONET to buy materials at 3 yds for $1. This started our love for sewing.
I remember Uncle Babe hiring us, and our cousins for the summers to pick grapes. Then, on the weekends Dad was not roasting a pig, we spent it at your house at the camp, enjoying your cooking and Uncle’s BBQ.
Then, when you survived Uncle Ignacio, Auntie Genia, Dad, Mom and Uncle Babe, you were our surviving parent.
You were very easy to talk to and you DO love to talk. I can see you talking now, with a smile, a nod and an eyebrow going up and your quiet laugh, when you are excited. I know you missed Uncle Babe, more than anyone could imagine. You always have stories to tell of all the years you were together. Stories of Uncle were more frequent in the last couple months of our conversations.
I will miss talking with you about the teleseryes. I will miss saying prayers with you at bedtime. I know your nightly rosary is prayed for your family and your love for them. Your love for your grandkids and great grandkids are so evident when you talk about them with a smile and a gleam in your eyes.
As for Helen, Nette, Vic and me…. We are happy that you are not in pain, and not suffering. Auntie, be happy with all the rest of our "family angels"! As you join all “our angels” who are welcoming you in heaven, you bring with you all our love. We love you very, very much, Auntie Babe.
