Phyllis Lavonne Mercer was born February 23, 1930 at Hominy, OK to O.B. and Alma Todd. She married James W Mercer on June 23, 1946 in Enid, OK. He proceeded her in death June 7, 2008.

She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved her family and church family very much, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was called Mema by her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and their friends.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Adams and husband Wayne of Ft Worth, daughter-in-law Woody Mercer of Bells, Son Joe Mercer and wife Kathryn of Kemp, OK. Sister Peggy Statz. Grandchildren Eddie Howell and husband Chris, Bryan Adams and wife Liz, John Mercer, Judy Kolar and husband Jay. Jason Mercer and wife Emma. Amy Ament and husband Jeremy. Sherry Beshirs, Timothy Adams and wife Nicole.

Great Grandchildren Christian and wife Chelsea. Collin and wife Jordan. Courtland Howell, Luke and Will Adams, Patricia and Catherine Kolar. Jonathan and Joshua Mercer, Sydney, Addison, and Jeffery Mercer. Samantha and Jacob Beshirs, Emma, Alex and Benjamin Adams.

She was proceeded in death by husband James W Mercer, sister Lila Bessette, grandson-in-law Joel D Beshirs and son Jack Mercer.
