December 7, 1946 – June 9, 2019
Julianne Moroye, 72, a lifelong resident of Colorado, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado surrounded by family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Les Moroye; her three children: daughter Leslie (Jay) Bishtawi, daughter Jennifer (Dustin) Young, son Eric Moroye and grandson Jackson Moroye; siblings Jon, Lauretta, Larry, and Jerry; many nieces and nephews.
Born on December 7, 1946 in Pueblo, CO to Richard and Doris (Mahoney) Daveline. Julie spent her life in Colorado. She attended Pueblo Catholic High School and Southern Colorado State College where she enjoyed close friends. In 1967, she married Les at the age of 20 and soon became a mom of three. After raising her kids, she later enjoyed a long career in accounting and as Safety Coordinator for an envelope manufacturing company.
Julie was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a pillar to her family because of her unconditional love, patience, and strength. She took great pride in her family without accepting any credit for their success. Her children count her as a wonderful blessing and that she was and forever will be one of their best friends.
She loved family and socializing with them. She also enjoyed history and was an avid reader. Contrary to her quiet demeanor, Julie was a skilled poker player who could quietly reel in the competition and win the big hand which was followed by a wily smile during the annual Thanksgiving poker tournament. She loved watching sports, including baseball, especially when her grandson Jackson played.
Julie had a lifetime of struggle with chronic illnesses for which she battled through with courage and the spirit of a warrior. Described by so many as a fighter, she did so with a quiet grace.
Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11: 00 am at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery (8600 E. Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231). Upon Julie’s wishes, services are requested to be for immediate family only.

Dearest Julianne and Family,
Thank you for being such a wonderful wife and mother to your three children. I've only met you briefly a few times when spending time with your daughter, Leslie. However, those brief moments of exchange where gracious, kind and delightful. You struck me as being such a kind spirit who adored her family. We will miss your beautiful smile.
With my sympathy,
Trina Miller - Denver

JULIE will always have a special place in my memories and in my heart. Julie was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I never heard her say a negative word about anyone. She was the best neighbor and she was a dedicated and proud mother to her very accomplished and kind children. Fondest memories of Village East, South Newark Court and JULIE will always put a smile on my face. In paradise, Julie and John are protecting all of us now and Moroye family, you are loved and Julie's dignity, beauty and love of friends and family will never be forgotten.
