To my dear friend Lu,

Your passing gave me some relief and somewhat joy knowing how much you have suffered over the years that your prayer has changed from one of acceptance to one of surrender not to suffer any further. During your last few weeks you kept asking why you were still on earth. That was finally answered peacefully after giving one deep last breath which was what all your friends' prayers were for your peaceful passing.

I had intended to give you a call that day. Too bad you were gone so early that I failed to catch up on you. My only regret was you were gone without having to say goodbye to each other. Naturally, it was on God's time when he finally answered your prayers. Your mission has been accomplished, good and faithful servant. That must have been what God wanted of you, to finish your work what He had deigned for you on earth.

I will miss our exchanges talking about our pains and exchanging suggestions on what medicine works best for relief. As you have said we are on the same boat. I will miss your daily FB share of prayers, meditations, and reflections that help both of us to be spiritually strong.

Thank you for your friendship, short as it may have been, but which I cherish. I am glad that you have a full page of shared family photos in our Diamond Memory Book to celebrate our 60th Jubilee to forever remember you by. Till we meet again, my dear friend!

To RJ and Cora, we share with you the loss of a mother and a very dear friend in the person of Lu. But let us rejoice that she is now at peace in the loving embrace of our Lord, without pains, which she so deserves and for her to be happy forever and ever!

God bless,

Ding and Lou Salvador
