Thomas David Bouknight Jr, 40, was called home on 8 June 2019 at his home in Aurora, CO. He was born 21 December 1978, in Denver, CO. David, the named he loved to be called, was raised in Houston, Tx and attended elementary, middle and high school there. In 1999, he joined the military and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps he worked a number of jobs and later earned his Associates Degree in Science. Shortly after, he began working in the railroad industry for BNSF Railway as a Conductor. David was known as a no-nonsense hard worker and respected by many. David’s passion was in botany and loved spending time in the garden and cooking the “fruits of his labor”. He spent his past time planting fruit trees and bushes, working on his 1971 Monte Carlo, spending time with his family, playing basketball and traveling the world. David also liked to learn new things and wasn't afraid to fail in order to succeed. He was a loving Christian who loved and studied the word of God. He leaves behind his wife of over 11 years, Dawnetia and their four children Thomas III (14), Jeremiah (12), Elijah (6) and Ariyah (1). David was one of four children born to and survived by Thomas Bouknight Sr and Evonnu Rasmus. He also leaves behind his brother Samuel Bouknight sisters Senitra Bouknight, Shavon Bouknight Square, maternal grandmother Johnnie Rasmus, paternal grandmother Donna Bouknight and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. David was someone who loved hard and touched the lives of many people!

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Revelation 21:4 f "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
