Mr. Harvey Ray Parker, 78, entered into rest on September 22, 2012 in a local hospital. He resided in DeQuincy, Louisiana and was a lifelong member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his sister Wanda Rae Bennett of DeQuincy. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie Parker; Son James Ivin Parker and wife Brenda of DeQuincy; Sister Donna Mae Burnett; Brothers Billy Ray Parker of DeQuincy and J.C. Parker of DeRidder; 2 Grandsons Kevin Parker of Orange, TX and Jeffery Parker of DeQuincy; and 4 stepchildren.
Vistitaion for Mr. Parker will be Sunday, September 23rd from 2PM until 9PM at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in DeQuincy, and will continue at 9AM on Monday, September 24th at the church. The services will begin at 11 AM on Monday at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, Rev. Anthony Kennon and Brother Bob Colquette will officiate. Burial will follow at Oretta Cemetery.
