Growing up I will always remember Jimmy as a dad. My dad , Eddie and Jimmy were like two brothers. They started their business in 1967 'Jim 'n E. Jimmy always treated me as if I was his son. The three of us worked together, went fishing, bowled in some leagues and he gave me helpful hints to improve my golf game. When we were working he always made it fun no matter what we were faced with while growing a successful business. Jimmy was able to keep my dad and I in balance because if anyone has worked with family it can get difficult at times. Jimmy was able to give good advice and keep everyone in check.
Growing older I will always remember what Jimmy instilled in me. Hard work, honesty and always willing to help people no matter what life brings. This is how he lived his life. The world would be a better place if there were more men like Jimmy. I will always smile thinking of Jimmy.

Love,
Kenny

Deepest sympathy and condolances to Sally and the Melmer family. Jim was a good friend growing up in Schiller Park. Have many, many great memories of the fun we had in grade school, HS and living on Grace street. JIm will missed by all of his friends from Lincoln, Leyden and Schiller Park.
God's speed Jim and get the prarie ready for our baseball and football games...
