I met Bernie in the mid-1980s while working at Gelman Sciences. We instantly became friends and spent many a lunch hour laughing and sharing our life stories. Wishing to reconnect, I sadly discovered this very recent obituary. I regret that the years separated us but I will always treasure the special friendship we had. Rest in peaceful paradise Bernie! ❤

Bernie was a great neighbor for years when we lived in DeWitt!
She was there for us to watch our dog while we went away for a weekend ! My husband, Jim who passed away 5 years ago, was her pool boy cause he had his brain cancer and couldn’t work! We enjoyed her pool while helping keep it clean, we were there for here when her wonderful grand boys were killed in an accident leaving poor Kyle to tend for himself after loosing her son Michael, his dad! We moved away 7 years ago so we only kept in touch a couple times a year. I’m in Florida for a few months so told her in my Christmas card I would visit when I returned in March but...I know she was struggling for years with her health and her family but she struggled on! I know she always talked highly of her grandson Kyle!

I hope and pray she’s in a better place, enjoying time with my husband And her Kirk, and her son and grandsons🙏🏻 Rest In Peace Bernie 😇👩‍❤️‍👩

Will always be grateful for having Bernie in our lives. Her love & kindness when Debbie was in her final days with Alzhiemers. Bernie made her a prayer shawl and Debbie loved it. It seemed to give her comfort and a sense of well being. Thanks Bernie. The Brown Family
