I remember Joy's perpetual smile, her warm and relaxed persona, and especially how welcoming she was to me as a newly hired instructor with DALA in 1998. I wish her safe passage to the next stage of her journey.

I had the great honour of sharing a room with Joy at the Kentville Hospital. In those mere five days we shared many stories and of course laughter. Not ONCE did Joy seem to feel sorry for herself.
Her family , friends and students meant the whole world to her .
Joy phoned me before her operation and was going to call me after. My heart is broken so I can’t imagine what you are feeling .
Your Joy will influence the rest of my life .....
Most sincere condolences to you all 💕
