George Martin Marvinac

George M. Marvinac, age 83 entered into the Lord’s Kingdom on March 2, 2018. George is survived by his daughter, Susan (Daniel Radosta), and his son, Dan Marvinac. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverley Anne Kassal Marvinac of Elmhurst and his sister, Gene Davidson of Lombard.

George was born on August 22, 1934 in Oak Park to his parents Martin and Judith. He graduated from Proviso East High School in Maywood. He resided in Elmhurst and worked as a Crew Leader at Northern Illinois Gas Company where he worked for more than 35 years.

George was a family man and a loving father. He married Beverley in 1958 and the couple had 2 children together. George also enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, gardening and spending time with his 3 grandchildren; Samantha (Michael Posch), Joseph, Randi (Brandon Bailey), and his great grandson, Owen Michael. His family and friends will always remember his as a fun and happy person.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on March 17, 2018 at West Suburban Community Church, 825 N. Van Auken, Elmhurst, IL 60126, with a luncheon to immediately follow at Itasca Country Club, 400 East Orchard, Itasca, IL 60143. All are welcome to attend and celebrate George’s life. The family would like to thank all who attend.
