Bertie Everette Matthews, age 92 of Dunn, died Monday, March 1, 2020 at Bethesda Nursing and Rehab in Eastover.

Bertie was born on August 30, 1928 in Harnett County the daughter of the late George Franklin Everette and Lottie Porter Everette. She is also preceded in death six sisters and brothers.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Erwin Memorial Park with Rev. Lee Faircloth officiating.

She is survived by: Daughter: Ruth Clifton & (husband) Doug Atkinson of Fayetteville, NC.

Granddaughter: Kacie Gates & (husband) John of Texas.

Great Grandchildren: Jamie Gates and Elaina Gates

Special Nieces and Nephews

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home in Dunn. Prior to the graveside.
