Myra Lynn Lowry, age 70, Dunn, died Saturday April 6, 2019. Mrs. Lowry was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on June 26, 1948 the daughter of Watson & Hilma Marlin. Mrs. Lowry graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, TN in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts and from Foundations Bible College in Dunn, NC in 1987 with a Bachelor of Religious Education. For over 40 years she faithfully served with her husband on the faculty at Foundations Bible College. Much of that time she dedicated herself to her students as an elementary teacher at Foundations Christian Academy. She also spent a number of years teaching both piano and organ. Mrs. Lowry is remembered for her love for the Lord, her family, and her students. She encouraged her students to love the Lord, obey the Bible, and to find His will for their lives. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Foundations Bible Collegiate Church with Dr. H.T. Spence officiating. Burial will follow in the Paracleft Cemetery on the campus. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis Lee Lowry of the home. Sons, Bradford Lowry & (wife) Carrie of Dunn, North Carolina; Brian Lowry & (wife) Trenda of Gaffney, South Carolina; Daughter, Beth Lowry Nighswonger & (husband) Patrick of Dunn, North Carolina. Sister: Anna Jean Walley & (husband) Wendell of Clovis, California: a niece and nephew and Mother: Hilma Marlin of Fresna, California. 11 Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the sanctuary at Foundations Bible College Church in Dunn and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Founder's Memorial Scholarship Fund, Foundations Bible College, P.O. Box 1166, Dunn, NC 28335
