Tex, Peg, Erik, Sean, Keith & extended family,
We were saddened to hear of your mother’s/grandmother’s death on Wednesday. She was such a kind-hearted, fun-loving woman and we always enjoyed her company. We are so grateful to have had many happy times with both Skip and Ernie. Both of them loved having our children come ask to swim in their pool, always responding “As long as your mother is coming to watch you.” We would sit & visit while the children swam & sometimes we got in the pool too. Jimmy wasn’t even 2 years old when he was jumping off the diving board into someone’s arms, always surfacing with his huge smile. After Skip died, we would pop over for a quick visit at least once a week, and often invite Ernie for a family dinner. Her first words through my door were always “What can I do to help?” And many times she got put to work, cutting veggies for the salad or putting things on the dining room table. When she moved to Asbury Pointe and then Glenwood, it was harder to just pop over, but with some planning we got there, especially with Ava in tow. Sometimes we sat and visited in the apartment, and occasionally we took ac”field trip” to Bill Gray’s for the frozen custard!!
We will miss her friendship, but we are certain she is at peace in the arms of her Creator & Savior. Our sincere sympathy is with you & prayers for your comfort, as well.

TIm, Ann Marie, Eileen & Ava Spellman
