Linda M. Smith

Linda Mae (Appleby) Smith, age 74, of Arcade, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from Covid. Linda was born November 23, 1947, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Edna (Kruse) and Arthur Appleby. Linda was raised in Leicester, attending York Central School, and graduated from Holland Central High School. While she held a variety of jobs, she was primarily a homemaker. She volunteered throughout the years with the Girl Scouts, the Holland American Legion Auxiliary, and the Holland United Methodist Church. Linda is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth C. Smith. She is survived by her children Kenneth A. (Sarah) Smith, Suanne (Kevin) Price, and Cheryl (Paul) Stadel-Bevans and step-children Diane Smith and Susan Weekley. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Much to her delight, she discovered in recent years that she had a half-brother, Dale (Phyllis) Harrington, who also survives her. Linda is also survived by her beloved dog, Sadie Lady. A Memorial Service for Linda will be held at a later date.
