Beatrice E. (Hotaling) Sawyer, 100, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Sawyer entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 23, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was pre-deceased by a son, Robert Sawyer and her first husband Albert Callahan. She is survived by her son, David Sawyer and his wife Kathleen of Estero, FL., and her daughter, Kay Ely and her husband Gene of Deep River. She was a loving and devoted great-grandmother, and leaves behind, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Beatrice’s greatest joy was her family. Being a good wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother gave her life meaning, purpose and contentment. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2nd at 11:00AM at the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 162 Hillside Street, East Hartford, CT. A calling hours will precede the service from 10:00AM-11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT. 06492 or to a local Veterans Organization. Grandma Bea was great lady she was always nice to me and really made me feel like I was part of the family when my mom married her son Bob sawyer she kept in touch with my grandfather for a while after bob passed away and I would talk to her every time she call and still considered me family I really love Grandma Bea and will never forget her love and prayers to the rest of my step family
