Dear Kitty, Jim, David, Heather and the rest of Colleen’s family-

The news that Colleen died, has saddened our family deeply. I can picture Colleen so vividly as the youngest McKinnon, playing on our street with bangs and long hair, being doted on by her older siblings.

My mom, Rita would report that Colleen, as an adult, was on Ramblewood all the time, mowing the lawn, snow blowing etc. Clearly so lovingly devoted to you, Kitty.

What a tragic loss. The Echts are all thinking about you and holding you in our hearts.

You will all remain in our thoughts for a long time to come.

Dear Kitty, Jim, David, Heather, and the entire McKinnon/Shewchuck family,

My heart is breaking for all of you, and for all of us who had the privilege of knowing Colleen. Growing up on Ramblewood in the 1970s was a wonderful experience, made all the better by the kids in the neighborhood including Colleen. When she was little, she came by our house every day, always with a big smile on her face. In later years, she remained a constant presence in the neighborhood, selflessly helping her family and her neighbors with--as always--a smile on her face. Colleen embodied goodness, kindness, and beauty all the days of her life. I am better person for having known Colleen and I will forever cherish the many memories I have of her.

Thinking of you,
Robin (Echt)

My heart is so saddened at the lost of your wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister. I am so sorry for your loss. Colleen and I would walk in our subdivision often having some very nice talks about anything and everything. I last talked with her the in late December when I came home from Arizona for a few days and we texted each other after that also, reminding me to send pictures of the fruit on the trees in Arizona I regret that I had not sent her the pictures that I took for her. She is and will always be in my heart as a very dear friend. Prayers to you all
