Jan enjoyed many things: expressing her views to others and always doing the best she could in all aspects of her life; daily interactions with her family, many friends and colleagues; trips to FL, AZ and to her condominium at Shanty Creek Resort in Northern MI; working and interacting with so many outstanding and devoted osteopathic physicians, and other health care professionals she encountered in her daily work, and in the continuing medical education courses she coordinated; frequent interactions with osteopathic medical students; promoting Osteopathic Medicine, especially Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine; attending MSU basketball and football games; good wine and a good “Chocolate Martini”. Jan is remembered as a devoted and loving wife and mother, special friend to all those persons she encountered, no matter their status in life, a confidant and an empathetic human being. She was an advocate for those who sought her advice and help.
