Jane passed away peacefully on January 12th.

Jane was born on August 18th, 1932 in Lansing, MI to Raymond and Ethel Baxter. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1950. She had a remarkable career with the Ingham County Veterans Affairs Department where she rose through the ranks from HS receptionist to become the Department's Executive Director, a position she held until her retirement. She took great pride in being able to assist Mid-MI veterans in their times of need. Her greatest joy was her family that she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ethel, and she is survived by son Mychal (Becky) Grenawalt; brother, Chuck (Dee) Baxter; grandchildren, Jessica Bushnell and Taylor Grenawalt; great-grandchildren, Owen Keller and Teagan Remacle; and numerous nephews, nieces, and many wonderful friends.

There will be no visitation or services per her request. However, a celebration of life memorial luncheon in her honor will be held at the Haslett American Legion Post 269 on Wednesday, January 22 at 2pm.

The family requests that donations be made in Jane's honor to the non-profit Veteran's organization of your choice.
