Wilber Hubert Ashby

Wilber H. “Red” Ashby, age 89, of Chattanooga formerly of Parkersburg West Virginia died Sunday November 27, 2011. He was born December 2, 1921 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Marion and Rosa Ashby. Mr. Ashby was a mason, shriner, member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks # 98 in Parkersburg and # 91 in Chattanooga and was a Past Exalted Rule and American Legion Post 15. Survivors incude his wife, of 44 years, Patricia Ashby; son Michael Ashby; step-daughters Paula Siciliano and Jennifer Walton; grandchildren Chris Ashby and Molly Ashby; step-grandchildren Christina Siciliano and Kathleen Siciliano. Services in Parkersburg, WV are pending. Arrangements under the direction of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist-East Chapel, East Ridge, TN.

Wilbur was my mother's step brother. Alma Ashby, my grandmother, married Wilbur's father, Marian, also known as "Pop", in the 40's. Wilbur was a very good friend to all. He will be missed.
