Marjorie E. Pembridge Evans Brown, 87, formally of Dallas, PA and Fort Myers, FL passed away on April 15, 2013 at the Hospice Community Care, at Geisinger South in Wilkes Barre, PA

Born in Chinchilla, PA on March 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late David and Ruth (Pembridge) Evans. Marjorie graduated from Dallas Borough High School, Class of 1943 . She was married to Robert W. Brown and would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on May 5th 2013. Marjorie was formally employed as a teller at Miner’s National Bank of Dallas, Dallas, PA; and as a receptionist at Payne Printery also in Dallas, PA.

She was an active member of the Dallas United Methodist Church, Dallas; and its organizations, serving as superintended of the Sunday school program and as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Marjorie was also formally active in both the Dallas Jr. and Sr. Woman’s Club, of Dallas; PA. Surviving is her husband Robert W. Brown, Kingsto n; son, Dr. Robert Brown of Hilton Head, SC; daughter, Shirley Breymeier of Dallas, PA; 4 grandchildren, Amy Saenz, of Virginia; Benjamin Brown of Colorado; Daniel Breymeier of Kingston; Matthew Breymeier of Kingston; 3 great grandchildren, Alivia and Alex Brown and Trey Saenz and a brother David J. Evans of Virginia;

Funeral services will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Dallas United Methodist Church memorial garden at 4 Personage Street, Dallas, PA 18612 Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 where online condolences can be made at
