Nita Jo Everett passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family after a brave battle with cancer. To the very end, she fought with the same tenacity that has been such an inspiration for so many over the last year and a half. She touched many lives with her spunky spirit, sassy ways and "it is what it is" attitude. She lived and laughed and loved BIG and she will be missed beyond measure.Nita was born in Tipton, OK and graduated from Navajo High School. She spent the majority of her life working in Customer Service and currently worked as a Patient Access Representative at Bone & Joint Hospital in OKC. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse M. and Ethel I. Bowman. Nita is survived by her three daughters, Cassandra Spring of Aurora, CO, Jennifer Walker of Blair, OK and Jalynn Kirby of Edmond, OK and six grandchildren, Jakob Fierro, Kolby Spring, Jaymi Blevins, Eddie M. Blevins, Asher Kirby and Ava Kirby and one great grandchild, Sophia Spring. She is also survived by her three brothers, Jimmy Pierson of New Mexico, Curtis Bowman of Texas and Merlin Bowman of Texas and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Memorial donations will be made to The Tree of Life Fund at Frank C. Love Cancer Institute at St. Anthony Hospital, in one lump sum. My condolences to the family of Nita Jo Everett. We can always rely on the God of comfort to help us endure any obstacles or hardships, especially the loss of a dear loved one. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). Our loving Heavenly Father has given us the wonderful assurance that we can see our loved ones again by means of a resurrection to an earth transformed into a beautiful paradise.
