Pamela Iris Reeds

July 8, 1959November 16, 2018

Pamela Iris Reeds, 59, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma went home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 16th, 2018.

Pam was born July 8th, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. Pam enjoyed being a business owner, starting and developing Olive Marketing Group. She found great fulfillment working with companies like Hormel to market youth soccer clinics in California and youth triathlons throughout cities in the Midwest. Pam developed a passion for youth and families, ultimately enjoying a career in family services for the Oklahoma National Guard as the Oklahoma State Child and Youth Coordinator. This love for children and families carried over into Pam’s spiritual life as a strong and committed follower of Jesus Christ. For over twelve years, Pam could be found on Sunday mornings investing in the lives of elementary students as a Sunday School teacher at Henderson Hills Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, life-long lover of learning, and a faithful prayer warrior for all those she met. Pam enjoyed traveling with her husband, seeing the United States, cruising the Caribbean and visiting Hawaii on a number of occasions. She also traveled to Europe to visit family in Scotland and England.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Richard Francis, and mother, Olive Francis. She is survived by husband Carl Reeds; brother Dale Francis and wife Nancy, St. Louis, MO; sister Sandy Schuler, Edmond, OK; sister-in-law Kathy Steakley, Edmond, OK; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be officiated by Chaplain James Smith. There will be a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.

My sweet Pam
My heart sister, she and I went to CFNI together.. She loved that school. We spent many a times meeting and have coffee. I love you Pam and my life has been inriched by your counsel and courage. But mainly for you Love of Jesus. My tears will pour today. But one thing my heart will miss all the love you touched me with for many years. Jesus redeems time. So I know he will redeem our missed time apart. Just because he is Love and has knit our hearts together in Him. My love to your family. I am blessed that they have shared you with me.... How blessed and rich I am.

When I think of all the good and kind things that can be found in this world our Pam is who I think of first. I met her many years back and she was the kind of person I wanted to have as my friend. And friends we became! I have so many happy wonderful memories of our time together. She was the friend I could always count on and our saying for each other was "Don't worry, I go your back". I didn't get to be around her these last few years in person but an email out of the blue from her would always brighten my day. She will leave an empty spot in many lives but I am forever thankful that we all have the memories of her goodness that will live with us forever...

I will miss you so much my dear sweet friend...

To a sweet, dear friend who had the same first name as mine. Pam was a very caring person who always had a smile on her face. I am so glad she was part of our class of 1977. You will be missed at our class reunions. The world lost an angel, but heaven received her! Love you, until we meet again...Pam Fuhrman Hartman

I worked with Pam at Ackerman many years ago. She was always so very sweet to me and was a genuinely good person with an amazingly positive outlook on life. Great sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye when she was teasing with you. Such great memories of her. Keep on singing, Pam —- now you can have the angels around you join in :)

Pam and I do the same job just in different states (I am in Texas). Every time we had a national conference Pam and I would grab a few other folks and we would go find something fun to do. We had a blast at Disney despite the rain! We ate candy, took pictures in funny places, talked about family - Pam obviously loved her family so very much! She shared pictures of her husband and the fun things they did together, talked about her dad in MD all the time... Then made sure she asked about my wife and my kids. She always remembered their names despite only seeing pictures of them as they grew up. We would talk on the phone about work things but it always went back to family and church. You will be missed, Pam, but your legacy will live on and the youth you impacted will always remember that wonderful smile and great attitude. God has a new angel now. Peace, friend.
