Kay was born July 21, 1926 to Frederick and Evelaine Detmold at Viking AB. We sadly announce that Kay passed on March 17, 2024 in Edmonton, AB.
She was the youngest of 3 children.
Kay is predeceased by her brothers John Detmold, and William (Bill) Detmold; and by her husband Maxwell Monilaws.
She is survived by her four sons John (Trudy), Ed (Pat), George (Kate), Dave (Linda), along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kay was a homemaker and mom to her children. There was always a pan of brownies and Rice Krispy squares in the kitchen whenever company was coming over.
A Celebration of Kay’s Life will be held at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 34 Avenue NW, Edmonton, on Saturday, April 13th at 1:00 pm.
