He was born on April 11 1934 in Königsberg, Germany to Albert and Augusta Paul.
In 1954 Klaus came to Canada with his parents and brother to start a new life on a farm just outside Stettler, AB. He learned the language while working on the farm and soon started a job in town with rink maintenance. He met and courted Pauline and they soon were married and shortly thereafter moved to Edmonton. Klaus began his 30 plus year working career with the city of Edmonton starting at the now historic Rossdale power plant and ending at the Genesee power plant. He retired at the young age of 55. He spent his retirement years being a help to all his children and was known throughout the neighborhood as the local handyman. Pauline and Klaus spent many long hours outside working on the yard and always had the best lawn.
Klaus is predeceased by his wife Pauline Carol (nee Chase) and is survived by his children,
Jeffery Paul (Gayle), Stephen Paul (Daphne), Nancy Chilcott (Chris) and Ronald Paul (Ellen)
Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services are being held at Hainstocks funeral home 9813 34 Ave NW Edmonton, AB. On November 9 2023.
Visitation will be at 10 am with services following at 11 am.
A light luncheon will follow at the funeral home after the service, with Interment being held at Rosehill Cemetery, 1605 141 street SW Edmonton following the luncheon.
We ask that in lieu of flowers donation be made to the Canadian National institute for the Blind (CNIB).
