Aunt Millie was a special lady in our childhood and on the passing of my grandmother in 1982 she took over the role in our family as matriarch and grandmother. She watched over all of us with love and a sharp sense of humour, I am so sorry I didnt quite make it back in time for her to meet her Australian great grand nephews. Love Peta (Newbound) Jeffrey, Cameron and James.

Mildred Livingstone a childhood friend of my Mother's, Kit Packer from Edmond's Grounds, Halifax; is a lady I loved dearly, and spent many Christmases together at my Grandmother's house, Madeline Packer. I have been trying to find out her whereabouts for sometime, and kept checking her tombstone in Camp Hill Cemetery, but only Harold's name was there, and some childhood friends and relations did not know her whereabouts either. I'm happy and delighted to know that she lived in the company of family. Mildred was a very special lady, her kindness is not easily forgotten. I wanted to ask Mildred if I could use her name in a book I wrote, as she help to care for her Uncle Clarey Edmonds, which I included in my story....Madline's Tales. On Saturday we children in the neighbourhood would walk down to Millie's Beach and she would allow us to swim there, joining us in the fun. I send my condolences to the family, I know your loss must be great, as Millie was a beautiful and wonderful lady. She will join my Mother, Grandfather and Grandmother in Camp Hill Cemetery eternally. RIP Millie!
