Leandro Homero Carrillo, age 66, of San Diego, California passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Leandro was born February 27, 1954.
A rosary and funeral service for Leandro will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at El Cajon Mortuary and Cremation Service, 684 South Mollison Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020, followed by a visitation - celebration of life from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Leandro Homero Carrillo was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Leandro will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Leandro was born on February 27, 1954 in Guatemala . He was the son of Horacio and Rafaela Carrillo. Leandro grew up in Guatemala City.
Leandro was raised with 7 siblings. He had five brothers and two sisters. Leandro was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Leandro had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. . However, to Leandro, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends and family.
Always considered a “good” friend to those he knew, Leandro enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. Later in life, he became friends with Pepe and Doris Arana.
In 1973 Leandro moved to Chicago Ill and met his wife Maria. Leandro was committed to making his new family happy.
Leandro worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Leandro was blessed with children. Another blessing for Leandro was the gift of his grandchildren.
Fortunately, Leandro enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Leandro worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was a Salesman who enjoyed working with others and meeting new people. He was employed for over 30 years by Superior Knife Sharpening.
Leandro enjoyed his leisure time. His favorite pursuits were playing poker, foosball and time with his grandchildren.
Leandro enjoyed traveling with family.
Leandro passed away on December 29, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in San Diego, Ca. Leandro fought a brave battle against Heart Disease.
Simply stated, Leandro was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Leandro leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Leandro Homero Carrillo.
