She was something else. Always met me at her door saying "We gave at the office". Wouldn't get out with me unless she got her makeup on, for fear of someone seeing her look like "a bag lady". If she spoke with you for more than a second she was going to know your name, and you would know hers. She hated cats, because she loved her birds. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional and limitless. That doesn't mean she wouldn't tell us how she felt. "That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it" was something we heard about a million times. The thought of her being with my grandfather again is the only joy I can find in losing her. The last thing I said to her was, "You have done all you can do for us here. We love you. It's ok to go find him. Go be with WT". I feel fortunate that I got the chance to say that to her in her final moments, and even more fortunate that life put us together in the way that it did. I will miss her until I join her.

I've got nearly 60 years worth of memories of her ( 1st couple years are evidently still in that crib ) but sadly as of last Tuesday there will be no new ones created between us.. So best thing to do is cherish the good ones & acknowledge the bad ones from Our past & Keep On Creepin On until I join her & pop... Steven...

My heartfelt condolences to the family.
Mrs. Betty was always a sweetie when she came to the Salvation Army Family Store. We knew to save anything with a lighthouse for her and her love for snowmen too! She would call to say she was thinking of us and would always tell me and my co-worker that she loved us.
We were saddened to hear of her passing. Sending expressions of prayer.
