Peggy went to her eternal rest on Sunday, August 26, 2018. She was born on January 17, 1946 in Evergreen Park, Illinois and lived her younger years in Chicago. She graduated from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa in 1967 and began her lifelong career as a nurse. Peggy joined the United States Army in 1970 and served as active duty and active reserves until retiring in June 1995 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She continued her career as a nurse at Las Palmas for 28 years and retired as a Nursing Supervisor in June of 2013.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Matilda Keough; siblings Robert (Julianne), Patricia, and Joan (Larry); brother-in-law Gil. Peggy’s love will continue to be shared by her husband Michael, daughter Christine (Christopher), son Patrick (Adrienne); ; sisters Ellen, Eileen, Jacqueline (Roger) and Lynne; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Peggy had a tremendous love for her family, traveling, collecting Hummel figurines and all things ladybug.
Visitation will be from 5-9pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home East with Vigil at 7pm. Mass at 9am, Wednesday September 5, 2018 at St. Stephen Deacon & Martyr Church. Burial to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 10:30am.
