Roberto "Bobby" Saavedra

Roberto (Bobby) Saavedra. Born to Carlos and Elena Saavedra on March 10, 1946, passed on the afternoon of July 8, 2018. Bobby is survived by his wife, Bertha G. Saavedra, sons Eddie Tarango and Carlos Saavedra, daughters Susana Tarango and Cecilia Saavedra, seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. After losing his Father at the age of 19, he became the supporting figure to his widowed mother, brothers George, Armando and sister Sylvia. Bobby was a lifelong resident of El Paso and graduate of El Paso Tech. Bobby’s hard work and dedication to his family led him to work three jobs in order to provide and make sure no one went without. Although, later in life, disabilities made it physically difficult, he remained the supporting pillar of the family. Bobby’s love for his family and friends will far outlive his time with us. He will forever be the beacon in our hearts. Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 5-9pm at Martin Funeral Home Central with vigil at 7pm. Funeral mass will be Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
