Román Luis Rico passed away into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Román was best known for his beautiful smile, kind and gentle spirit, quick wit and sense of humor.
Román was an avid outdoorsman. He shared his great love of nature with his family and friends. Some of his happiest times were spent riding ATV’s in the desert, hiking and camping in the mountains of New Mexico and his annual fly-fishing trip to the San Juan with his brother.
He is survived by his parents, Celso and Elisa Rico, brother, Adrian and wife Dawn, Aunt Cecilia Colorado and cousins, Eric and Gabriel Colorado. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Rico, Eric Colorado, Gabriel Colorado, Chuck Demings, Shon Cardon and Dominic Rivera.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, from 6:00-9:00 pm, with a rosary reciting at 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter.
Funeral Mass will be held on his birthday, Tuesday, April 3 at 12:00 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark Dr., Interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer.
