Lorraine Langusch

She was born June 23, 1927 in Detroit to Adolph and Valeria Bartz. She married Harry George Langusch in Detroit, February 1, 1947.

Mom raised four sons with patience, good humor, and strong Christian values. As a young girl, she was in the choir at Mount Zion Church in Detroit. She carried her love for music with her into adulthood, singing and playing the organ as an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Elk Rapids. Lorraine also enjoyed performing at the Rotary Variety Shows and working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her sons David (Linda) Langusch of Byron Center; Steven (LuAnn) Langusch of Kewadin; Dale (Linda) Langusch of Traverse City; Glen (Shari) Langusch of Waterford, WI. Lorraine is also survived by grandchildren Jennifer (Robin) Ward; Carlene Langusch; Thomas Langusch; Kate (James) Taelman; Kelsey and Kendall Minor; Leah (Mathew) Nicholson; Linnea Langusch and great grandchildren Harris and Lukas Ward, Audrey Nicholson, Jackie and Jacob Taelman, and Thomas Langusch Jr. as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Langusch and her brother Harold Bartz.

Visitation and funeral will be at Covell Funeral Home in Elk Rapids, Michigan. Visitation will be Thursday, May 16th from 6-8 pm and the funeral will be Friday, May 17th at 10 am with a graveside service to follow at Milton Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Lutheran Church in Elk Rapids, Michigan or a charity of your choosing.
