Dennise "Dee" (Moore) Spiegel, 83, of Baltimore, MD passed away suddenly in Fort Worth, TX on January 22, 2021. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Sr. and Rose A. Moore, and her brother James W. Moore, Jr.
She is survived by daughters,Theresa, Cynthia, Stephanie Thacher, and Bea Wells (m. Mike); grandchildren, Brandan, Therika, Dylan, Becquerel, Larisa, Maxine, and Kyra; great grandchildren, Caiden, Dylan and Anaïs; siblings, Vandella Christ, Thomas, Paul, Charles, and John; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
She was born and raised in Baltimore City, MD. She began working for the B&O Railroad right after graduating from St.Martin's School in Baltimore, MD.
While raising her daughters, which her siblings consider her greatest accomplishment, she was always volunteering at the schools, actively involved in the PTA, serving as a Camp Fire Girl leader, and swim team mom and score keeper at Valley Country Club.
She had a great love for children, was an avid Baltimore Ravens Fan, enjoyed crocheting, trips to the beach, reading, dancing, playing cards, and board games. Despite her other jobs, she found time for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, quite often surrounded by the youngsters, spending time in Delaware with Dylan's son Dylan and his brother Greyson. Mom, Nan, Dee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00am - 1:00pm. A Livestream Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following the gathering at 1:00pm. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. With limitations made to funeral practices due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all guests are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing per current public health guidelines. Due to COVID restrictions, a wake celebration will be held at a later date.
