Ricardo Jose Fiske was born March 20th 1953 in San Francisco, CA. to Melida Luz Sol and his adoptive father, Henry Lester Fiske Sr. His mother often bragged about what a beautiful baby he was and how women would stop her on the street to tell her so. Ricardo grew up in California surrounded by his maternal grandmother, Maria Melida Rivas-Sol, his beloved Aunt Dora Maria Sol-Campbell, his Uncle Jim Campbell Sr. and cousins, Jim, Ron, David, Kenny, and Mike Campbell whom he loved like brothers. His younger siblings, Henry, Chris and Tina looked up to him. He made them laugh often and taught them what he could. He liked to dress his little sister up in his clothes, watch out for her and show her off to friends. He loved her fiercely and she him.
In 1973 Ricardo married Maria Roacha and fathered three beautiful children, Maria Josephine, Ricardo Antonio and Mateo Almodad Fiske. In 1983 he married Araceli (Pierrez) and became a stepfather to Teresa, Manuel and Patricia Pierrez. He and Ara spent the next 34 years in wedded bliss. They traveled often and enjoyed many celebratory times with family in Mexico and the U.S. Ricardo’s heart was eternally broken when Ara passed in 2017.
Ricardo earned a degree in Certified Managerial Accounting at San Diego State College and later became an accountant for the Center for Sustainable Energy.
Ricardo is survived by his six children: Teresa, Manuel, Patricia, Maria, Ricardo, and Mateo; 13 grandchildren: Araceli, Oscar, Stephania, Mariah, Megan, Joshua, Maricela, Rebecca, Justina, Angelina, Jonah, Dyllan and Collin; great-granddaughter: Cattleya; six siblings: Henry, Christopher, Tina, Steve, Eddie and Kimberly; three cousins, Jim, Ron, David and Mike Campbell; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family too numerous to name but whose lives he influenced. Ricardo’s infectious laugh, sense of humor, capacity to love and exuberance towards life will always be remembered by those who loved him.
